I got it going, but it would freeze after only a couple of seconds.
I reduced the bitrate from 720 to 480 and it seemed to play longer.
Then I read your last message and figured it may have stopped while you were making the changes.

I went back to 720 and it's been playing for a couple of minutes so far.
I'm going to let it go like this for awhile.
Thanx

Yeah, unfortunately you had it stop a couple of times at the beginning, due to a 4.3.x change I was testing. Thankfully your test helped me fix a bug. It should be ok now.

How are things going? It looked like you were successfully streaming TV1+1 for nearly an hour, when you clicked stop, then restarted on HGTV?

Yea, it worked OK on TV1+1, but I thought that looked like an SD channel, not HD.
I was hoping to play an HD channel, but I wasn't able to find any.
I guess we proved the point that my modem isn't the problem, when connecting to your server anyhow.
I have to leave now, so you can shut it down whenever you like.
Thanx again!

TVNZ1 TVNZ2 and TV3 are HD. The rest are SD. It looks like Tipping Point on TVNZ1, or Neighbors on TVNZ2 should be HD source material right now. TV3 is currently infomercials.

The +1 versions of these channels are SD.

OK, I'm back and just switched to TVNZ1.
I'll see how long that plays.

OK, I let it go for over an hour with no problems.
So that proves that the equipment I'm using will work, at least with your server.
That's the end of my testing; I don't have a clue what to do next.

I would still like to hear from someone in the states who has this working; especially his equipment and cable company.

It also proves the Android app itself is fine, and able to watch streams for a long time over the internet when the server side is working well.

I do wonder if maybe your CPU or network isn't keeping up. I've got a good fast CPU and internet connection.

I don't believe it's my CPU or network; they both have decent speeds.
Don't forget, there are at least 2 others in the states who have the same problem.
Actually, I don't know of anyone besides yourself who have this working.

Just for the heck of it, when I disconnected from you I connected to my server and tuned in an SD channel to see if that would play longer.
It only took around 12 mins before it hung.

If you're able to stream just fine on the local network, then that pretty much rules out CPU being a problem. That shows your CPU is able to keep up.

I don't think it's anything specific to the states.

I'm sure it's these network disconnects I'm seeing when streaming from your location, but it's not clear what is causing them. I don't think it's the NextPVR server, because you'd also be seeing them when streaming on the local network.

I doubt there is very many people that have ever tried streaming remotely. Most people are only streaming within their local network.
