I'm a Emby/Plex user. I presently have multiple Primes, single Quatro, IPTV m3us setup in Emby which I use for DVR.
I've played with NextPVR and also with the Emby Plugin for it and have no problem with the general setup or using this.

However, the reason I would like to use NextPVR is for Multi Record.
I've setup the Quatro and just using NextPVR (no Emby integration) I can't seem to get this to use one tuner for multiple channels.

I've tried for example watching both 3.1 & 3.1 as well as 10.1 & 10.2, 29.1 & 29.2 etc. Every time the Quatro show two different tuners being used.

What am I missing in my setup to get Multi Record to work?
Also has Multi Record ever been added for the Prime?

I'm in the US using Phila broadcast towers.

Thanks,
Carlo

On NextPVR's Settings->Devices screen, you need to have setup the channels using the ATSC or QAM device types, not the HDHR device type.

The Prime device uses HDHR device type, so doesn't get the full multi-record functionality. This device does have a limited version of it, but only for a single channel - this effectively allows back-to-back recordings on the same channel to have post-padding on the first recording, and pre-padding on the second recording (ie, overlapping). It also allows you to have a live tv sessions of the same channel, while recordings are happening on the same channel. To get the full multi-record, with subchannels on the same frequency, you need to be using ATSC/QAM.
