XMedia LE and Cyclic Redundancy

I just have tried several times to delete the Xmedia le zip file from my drive and I keep getting a message of cyclic redundancy. After my second attempt to delete the computer rebooted and when it came back up windows did a lot of "error correction" or some such. The test recordings on the drive are now corrupted.
What I want to know is what could be causing it? And is the cyclic redundancy responsible for the corruption?

I think it is a zip file issue. I had the same problem on a brand new drive new drive. I had used the same LE file I have saved to a cd. The new drive crashed after complaining of cyclic redundancy again when I tried to delete the zip folder. I had a program do a crc check and it says the file is corrupted. Obviously something went wrong when I downloaded it. I I changed to the Xmedia nad have had no problems.

I think so too. It was virus free as I checked before hand and I had no problems using the program in the file. It was only deleting the actual zip folder that was problematic. Could have been winzip problem as I had installed in that same time to use to open the folder.
