IPTV Live TV Stutter, Recordings Fine

Hi Guys,

I'm playing with IPTV. Some of the channels play fine and some stutter on live tv. However, if it stutters during live tv I've noticed I can let it play a few seconds and then hit the rewind to start button and it'll play just fine. Recordings always play fine.

I tried changing video decoders, it didn't help.

Sooo, it seems it needs to pause and fill the buffer a bit more before starting to play. Is there a setting for that?

OK, after finding the right search words I have found a patch that helps most of the channels, I have just a couple that still like to stutter, but that may be a stream source issue.

The patch is installed by the following, and located the thread below:

Run the 'Stop NPVR Service' shortcut. Drop the new NShared.dll file into 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR', replacing the existing file of the same name, then run the 'Start NPVR Service' shortcut.

Note I just renamed the original file to nshared old.dll and then dropped the new one in -> that way I could go back easily if it didn't work or to compare and evaluate if it helped...it really helped most channels!

I'm testing the Area-51 IPTV service.
