Recordings sometime have no voices (center channel is not present?)

Most of my recordings work fine and I don't have this problem.

But I sometimes record a movie and the music and sounds are present but not the voices (center channel?), except when the voice comes from left or right side (surround sound).

I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere to solve this problem.

I can try to find a log of a recording if it would help.

The last one that was like this seem to be in stereo only 2 channel so I am not sure how it could be a surround sound issue unless it is being downconverted somehow.

In Nrecord.log, I only saw this:

You'll probably need to supply a sample file so I can take a look.

I'm sure the audio will be there, since a digital recording is pretty much just a dump of what the broadcaster is sending (so no downconverting or anything that could get rid of audio tracks). It might be something about playback in NextPVR that causing it to choose the wrong audio stream though.
