Good Day...Is there a way to put the channel groups in alpha order? I have used DBBrowser for SQLite and RazorSQL with no luck. I can edit the groups as to how I want them (alpha order) but the database always comes back to the original state. At this point, my only option is to reset the groups in alpha order and populate them one channel at a time which seems kinda ridiculous and troublesome. there should be a way to just click and drag ther group to where i need it to be. Thanks...cheers!!

Not at this stage. They're currently shown in the order they're created. I'm hoping to add a drag/drop reorder in the future.

With a bit of sqlite code you could replace the sort field with the order you'd like. The current order is best for me since it gives them to me in my priority.

Good day Martin...Yes, I have been looking at the aforementioned proggy's to see which would suit my flavor and do what I need. I have been focusing on the channel_group_ name table to accomplish what I want but it seems that what I have tried so far is not working for me. I last tried just replacing the group names with an integer like 1,2,etc and that seemed to work but when it came to re-open the db, it was back to normal. So I suppose there is a lock on the primary which is preventing my edits to hold. Anyway, I will keep plugging along. Its been a few years since I messed with SQL but it is coming back to me slowly. I know its possibly just a sort command because using one of theproggy's mentioned, I was able to sort the table as i wanted but, again it did not hold. Thanks for the advice though. Cheers!!

You should be able to edit the channel_group table by changing the values in field named sort to get the order you want. This should give you a starting point

Code:
select * from channel, channel_group
where oid = channel_oid
order by name

Good day Martin...Oh I was focused on the channel group name table thinking that is where the sorting took place. Thanks for the redirection. Will give it a go. Cheers!!

Good day...so I have used all 3 programs to edit the table and resorted the groups the way I want them unfortunately, upon saving the database my sorting is lost. The table reverts to its original state. Am i missing something here? Cheers!!

Before posting I tested changing the sort field values and it did match using the Kodi http API for group ids.

Good day...so you are using NPVR through Kodi? I am just using NPVR natively. But still the db should be saving the table with my sorting change. Since in your initial directive you were using tables channel and channel_group, am i to apply my sort to only those 2 tables and not channel_group_name table? TIA Cheers!!
