NextPVR Live TV Web Stream Crashes in Google Chrome

Based on your CPU use, you are fine. The web experience for watching transcoded PVR files is not really the way to go anyay but if you want to test alternative I'd consider trying Emby with NextPVR. They have more experience tweaking ffmpeg for various input file types. Transcoding is not a one size fits all solution.

I'm pretty sure this is more of an Google Chrome issue than it is NextPVR but I am going to take your advice and look into Emby, Plex and even Kodi. I was trying to keep it simple by streaming to a web browser but I believe you are correct with the trying alternatives. I want to thank everyone here for their assistance.

Kodi is completely different it is a pure client with no transcoding and it is not web based Emby has support built in for NextPVR. If you test that and it works when can probably figure out how the call ffmpeg. I'm not sure if Plex supports a broswer client, then again I am not sure why you need a browser client anyway.

I loaded up Emby on the server and installed the NextPVR plugin and seems to stream fine so far. I'm actually leaning on just using a client like Kodi at this point. Plex does have a browser app that seems to work well so I'll fiddle around and see what works out for me. I'm leaning more to just using a client too. Anyway again thanks for all the assistance. Could you upload the Emby server and ffmpeg logs right after playing live tv. We could end up with a hint to a better command line for transcoding.

If you don't like the NextPVR client, Kodi is a better choice than Chrome.

Unfortunately I had to reinstall Emby as the live TV just stopped. NextPVR was functioning fine on it's own so I'm going to reinstall it today and see what happens. I can tell you right off the bat that I'm not that impressed by Emby so far. Seems much more complex than Plex is to set up. I have a lifetime plexpass already and in Emby many of my movie names were incorrect and would need to be renamed which would take a lot of time and totally mess up Plex library. I will keep this in mind and upload what you ask as soon as I get this back up and configured correctly. I still want to try it out for a bit.
