Sorry, I haven't had a chance to take a look yet. I've been busy with day job stuff the last few days.

In case it helps all of my decoders are set to Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio & Video Decoders.

I did an experiment. I installed the k-lite basic codec pack and setup and switched over all my codecs to LAV Filters and tsreader4 works great. Before that all I had installed was the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoders from Windows 10 DVD player. Perhaps tsreader4 doesn’t doesn’t like those...

That said, my MPEG2 channels are only SD with MPEG1 audio, where as yours are mixture of SD and HD, with AC3 audio, so lots of differences that could account for you see problems when I don't.

FYI, I'm not sure what version of the LAV decoders is included with k-lite. The latest LAV Decoders can be installed from https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters...taller.exe

I use klite and it installs the current version.

I've had the skipping issue occur randomly for some time. What would seem to happen is when you go to skip an advert (say short or long skip), as the jump completes, the video would go into super fast forward and the audio would continue but at normal pace albeit slightly distorted. This would seem to be random in that some skips would work fine others give the problem.
I've also seen the behaviour randomly in some recordings where there is a "blip" in the stream and it triggers the same behaviour (i.e. suddenly video goes into fast forward but not sound). I've struggled to find anything that would consistently allow reproduction of the problem in order to investigate....until today :-) The wife reported a recording which by itself would trigger the issue about 40 seconds into playback. The recording would play fine in Windows Media Player but in NPVR, it would start fast forward about the same point every time. It's as if there's something in the stream that NPVR doesn't like. I set all my decoders to the Microsoft default....problem still occurs. I set all my decoders to LAV.....problem still occurs. Ran the recording through VideoRedo stream fix.....problem still occurs Set TSReader to use legacy..... problem goes away and file plays fine. Set use legacy TSReader back to "false" ….and the problem is back. This issue has been around for a while and a fix been elusive. Sub, do you want a copy of the recording file to have a look at? (It's 1.5Gb so will need to put in a cloud server)

Sub, appreciate you're up to your proverbials with the V5 Beta work.
Just wondered if you could confirm the file I sent you won't play nicely for you either with the newer TSReader? I'm getting grief from the main house user as setting the TSReader to legacy has created a few different playback issues she didn't have before.

Sorry, I haven't look at it yet. It's the wrong week for this unfortunately - I'm very busy trying to get the v5 public beta out (today/tomorrow).
