On my V5 test server, I'm trying to add one of the HDHR Prime CableCard tuners.

For some reason, my main (original) SD lineup for the local cable lineup wasn't listed. (It also wasn't listed in V4, so that must be something weird/old.) Anyway, I went ahead and tried doing Add Schedules Direct Lineup. And the window prompts for username and password even though that info has already been entered and is being used. (So I cheated and went to the v4 server and added the lineup there.)

Then when I selected the correct lineup and clicked Scan, I got an error saying "Unable to download channel lineup. The given path's format is unsupported." See the pdf with the screen capture of the message in the logs zip.

When you select to add a lineup, it has the fields at the top of the window for the SD username and password. If you've previously logged into logged into SD, you can leave those blank, and just reuse your previously entered account credentials. In hindsight, added I probably should have populate those fields with your old previous username etc, so that it's clear you've already entered these. I'll make that change for the next build.

Regarding the error message, I'll try adding this lineup to see if I can reproduce.

On that HDHR Scan screen, if you leave the EPG to None, and hit 'scan', does it return the list of channels, or the same error message? (it looks like it's related to getting the lineup from the HDHR rather than anything related to the SD lineup)

You are correct. Leaving the EPG set to none, I get the same error message. Sad

It looks like it failed to find the ip address of your HDHR when it first added it.

You could try going to the Settings->Devices screen, press the Ctrl key, which will cause delete icons to appear next to the devices. Delete the device. Then hit the rescan. Hopefully it'll go right this time. If not, and it still gives that same error, post the logs, and I'll check for errors after the initial device detection.

Sorry if I'm being dense here, but it's early and I haven't had any caffeine yet. But when you say to "try going to the Settings->Devices screen, press the Ctrl key,...", do you mean in the web interface? Pressing the Ctrl key while it is displaying the Devices screen doesn't seem to have any effect.

I couldn't figure out how to get the delete icons. But I did try renaming the npvr.db3 so that it would create a new, clean database. Then I was able to do the scan and get the channel list just fine. Interestingly, when I then put my original npvr.db3 back, the scan would work with it, too. I didn't rename the config.xml--so I didn't have to reenter my SD info. Maybe something got updated in the config.xml when the empty database was there? After I get home from work I can try doing a comparison between the config.xml before and after.

Yes, in the web interface. It was a bit of a hidden feature. Sorry, i realised why it wouldn't work in your version. Maybe try again with this updated settings.html.

OK. I put in that settings.html and now when I press the Ctrl key, the up/down arrows change to a trash can. And clicking it does seem to remove the device. And then when I restarted the server, it added it back in. So, for the wishlist, you could the ability it disable a device like we can do in V4. (Not a rush since for now, as long as I don't scan and configure any channels, it's not a problem.)
