need to pause live TV before it will play

I have installed ffmpeg (via brew)

When I select a channel, it shows a static picture. For it to play, I have to hit "pause" and then "play".

Do you have auto play enabled in your browser.

Note that for watching TV the browser client is really not the best choice. On MACOS you probably want to try Kodi.

I'm pretty sure it'll be related to auto play like martin suggests above. What browser was this?

We don't have a native mac app at this stage. We do have a Apple TV app (which is undergoing another round of development at the moment). I'm investigating options for porting this to the mac.

I was using Safari, and you are probably right - I will check :-)
