Live TV when both tuners already recording

Hi, I'm using NextPVR 4.2.4 as a backend with Kodi clients as frontend. The NextPVR has two hardware tuners. Is there a way to dedicate one of the two tuners to live TV only? Currently, if two shows are scheduled to be recorded then recording always takes priority and live TV cannot be used. This is creating frustration within our household! Better yet, is there a way to allow both tuners to be used for recording, but if live TV is requested, can NextPVR be set to give live TV priority over recording?

Sorry no - that's not possible at this time.

If you are really tech savvy and don't want to spend $100 to buy a new tuner which is the best solution

1. Create two instances of NextPVR v5
2. Add two tuners to the live tv instance
3. Do not merge the channels
3. Create an m3u playlist from the live tv instance
4. Edit the m3u list to have tw different client ids.
5. Import that list as IPTV into the master instance.
6. Merge and configure the EPG in master instance
7. Configure the master instance in Kodi

I hope that in version V live TV will be limited to channels from those muxes(while others should be grayed out)

I don't think Kodi has this api anyway but it would be likely be too complex to constantly poll the channel list to see which are not available. Again add a tuner if this is a real issue.
