install problem

I have downloaded and installed V5 of NextPVR. Installed it on a clean build of windows 10. When I launch NextPVR it tells me that it's UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE REMOTE SERVER. I have tried to get the logs for you but that doesn't seem to want to work as it's not zipping them up. Hope you can give me a hand?

Does going into the browser configuration allow you to zip the logs?

Did you run NextPVRServer.exe? Does it then let you open a browser to http://127.0.0.1:8866?

No, I can't even get to the web page. But I manually checked the logs and found this.

Likely because the server is not running. Did you you run NextPVRServer.exe it is not automatic in v5

yes, think i know what the problem is 8866 seems to be closed 8866.

So I have everything installed now, but my new problem is that I can seem to import my xml channel list. I click on the add xmltv lineup option then click on import and nothing happens. It won't bring up any browse box for me to enter anything.

What type of device are you trying to get your channels from? I'll give you an indication of the general process for that type of device, so you can make sure you're going through the right set of steps.
