Not finding tuner, was used with Ubuntu 18.04 Tvheadend

I have been using Tvheadend on Ubuntu 18.04. I want to keep my settings for Tvheadend and give NextPVR Linux a try. I have installed NextPVR and can access via Mozilla. However, NextPVR doesn't find my Hauppage WinTVQuadHD tuner. I believe it is locked to Tvheadend. I opened a terminal and ran sudo service tvheadend stop. This stopped the Tvheadend service but I still can't find the tuner in NextPVR.

I am a Linux rookie and any help would be appreciated.

After stopping the tvheadend service run sudo service nextpvr-server restart and see if anything changes.

Thanks Martin,

That didn't exactly work. So I removed and reinstalled NextPVR and tried again.... sudo service tvheadend stop...... sudo service nextpvr-server restart This time it worked. I am currently scanning channels. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was but the reinstall fixed it.

To go back to tvheadend you run sudo service nextpvr-server stop because currently NextPVR doesn't release the tuners after they are used.
