Is it recommended to use it ? Is it stable enought ?
Thanks

Sorry, the response is in the sticky thread :
Quote:Is NextPVR v5 ready for everyone to install?
For the average user, wanting a stable release, we'd recommend sticking with NextPVR v4.2.4. The new v5 application is coming along nicely, but there is definitely more work to be done. The new public beta is to get the application into the hands of more users, so we can get more feedback, so we can gauge areas that users want to see more focus in.

mvallevand Wrote:For this case, I suggest ignoring the L' since it is a wild card match and the chance of a mismatch is low. If you really want to use the full title you can use two apostrophe characters, but that rule might break if and when sub fixes this.

Martin

Thanks for the tip.

Ignoring L' work in both Kodi and NextPVR but using two apostrophe work only in Kodi; i have the same "invalid keyword" message in NextPVR.

Anyway, i ignored the L' and the issue is resolved for "some" shedules ("hebdo de la musique") but not for others : "amour est dans le pré" instead of "L'amour est dans le pré" doesn't found any programs but they exists in the guide; i don't understand what happening; i will send you a log tomorrow if i can.

Thanks

Play with it a bit I created a recording for the same show here from Kodi with v5 and it creates the timers fine. Maybe you forgot any channel or used the wrong channel.

I've fixed this bug for keyword recordings in the next build of v5.

There is very few places in the application where it will build up SQL for query the database manually, but this was one of them, and needed embedded single quotes to be escaped. I've corrected this for the next build.

No i'm sure i choosed "any channels".

My search in the guide :

Results :

Now my rule :

None programs found and sheduled :

It seems to be a second issue not related to the apostrophe one. I'm pretty sure that the same keyword rule found my programs some days ago.

Thanks for the correction Smile
So, you will not correct the bug in v4 ? I will only install v5 when it will be stable...

(and thanks for NextPVR, i'm a new user and i like it; i was surprised how it was easy to set up compared to Argus TV !)

I can't tell without logs but it looks like you might have a space in the front. Also edit rules may not work you'd have to create a new one.

There is only going to be very limited changes to v4 going forward. v5 is getting all the enhancements and improvements these days.

I've attached an updated NShared.dll for v4 that should do the job.

I have no spaces and tried to delete the rule before create it again.

This is the log after trying to create the rule "L'amour est dans le pré" (i updated the dll for v4) : https://paste.kodi.tv/tugimuyuvu

I understand. Do you recommend me to install it now or should i wait a little ?

Thanks a lot Smile It work ! I tested with "L'hebdo de la musique" as keyword and it found the next shedules. My other issue is still here ("L'amour est dans le pré").

I found the guilty Smile : "avoid duplicate recordings where possible" in NextPVR settings.

After disable it and recreate the rule in Kodi, my next programs are found ! In fact i just had to edit each rule in Kodi : change from "any channel" to "whatever spécific channel" : "ok" and my channel change isn't applied but the shedule is updated; it's what i want Wink

So thanks a lot, all is resolved : apostrophe and this second issue with missing shedules Smile

Hi,

It isn't a big issue but folders and files for recordings with apostrophe aren't well named : the apostrophe is missing. The problem is only visible if i browse recordings in file mode in Kodi, or in my windows explorer.

For instance : "On nest pas couché" instead of "On n'est pas couché". "Lamour est dans le pré" instead of "L'amour est dans le pré".

I can live with that but if there is a little fix...

Thanks Smile

Sub strips out some characters to make them "safe" for storage. Some of them are not always required but it makes processing easier.
