Hi,

I have a RPi3 running Libreelec on which I put Kodi and Knewc 2.7.0 which works well as a client.
Can I assume the thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...nformation is for arm32v7 SERVER installs?
I just need a client really, on Libreelec… is one planned?

As an aside, how would you actually install the server using 'sudo' in Libreelec as Libreelec doesn't seem to do Sudo?

Code:
There is no working 'sudo'.

On debian/ubuntu/all general purpose linux distributions 'sudo'
allows a permitted user to execute a command as the superuser
or another user, as specified by the security policy

With LibreELEC you have root access by default, so you dont need 'sudo'

k.

I can't really remember the process on LibreElec. It's been a while since I tested it. Just try it those docker steps without sudo.

Kodi is your best bet for a client on Libreelec.

You can use the web app too for scheduling etc, but an RPi3 is too slow for transcoding video etc, so you wont be watching video in the web app with that type of server.

You can also use nlite on another machine as a client, to view the NextPVR UI from the RPi3, and to watch video etc. (the RPi3 doesn't need to transcode the video when streaming to nlite)

Use LE to install Docker then install the docker container ignore sudo, LE runs as sudo.

Rather then nlite in LE, I suggest just use knewc it should work exactly the same as you are used to with v4.

OK. At the moment the RPi3 runs LE with Kodi and knewc so I'll stick with that if the arm32v7 install is primarily for a server. My windows rig is my server.

Let me know how you get on.

Hello,

I am seeing in the about screen the following:

Version: 5.0.0.190908 (5.0.0.190916 is available for download)

when I run sudo docker image pull nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7
I get the reply:

Using default tag: latest
latest: Pulling from nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7
Digest: sha256:82b120e14c18051543048f2fdc09a6870919bdede4864a5287b394c28e591a08
Status: Image is up to date for nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7:latest
docker.io/nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7:latest

Is there a trick to running an update?

Thanks,
Kyle

Oops sorry, forgot to publish the latest docker arm32 build. I'd built it, but forgot to push it up to docker.com. It's there now.

I noticed that I can no longer adjust the priority of the Devices using the Up/Down arrows.
This is not a big deal to me but wanted to report it.

Wait. You can only change priority of active devices. Ok I think that makes sense.
I was trying to Move IPTV down but I do not have it configured. (This may be how it is intended.)

Thanks
