I've recently found NextPVR.. great piece of software. Thanks very much

The only issue I'm having is that I cant get any BBC channels to show.
digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker shows Central, Waltham as my closest/most likely transmitter.
A full UK scan finds me lots of other channels but absolutely nothing to do with the BBC.
Scanning with various regions/transmitters selected gives the same, as does all countries/regions.

I've tried finding the frequencies and entering them manually but things just get worse.

If I connect the exact same aerial cable to my TV, BBC channels are picked up good and strong.

What might I be doing wrong?
Could anyone please let me know what it'd be best to use for this area?

Thanks in advance

Tuners in PCs do not have the same level of signal amplification as TV tuners so often won't work in areas where the signal reception is weak.
Since the change to digital, many people have continued to use the aerials that were originally supplied for analogue TV services. Those aerials were usually tuned to specific frequency ranges for their local analogue transmitter and are NOT optimised for the frequencies used for digital transmission. Whilst most will still work, in many cases it leads to a weak signal for some digital transmissions.
That said, the standard BBC mux in your area is on channel 34 and you say you are receiving all other channels which implies acceptable signal at both higher and lower frequencies.
If you do a scan and then post the NPVR logs it may give us more information to look at.

Have you got these channels in any other TV software on your PC?

Seems I'm not allowed to post links or attach files without a mod OKing the post. I've tried both ways, so there'll be two. 2nd one has logs attached

And the guy who does that is in New Zealand and sound asleep ... he'll be along later to sort you out.

The forum software doesn't like brand new users posting links, because it assume you're a spammer. It marks these posts as 'requiring approval'. I've approved these, so you should see them now.

Does it show what frequency they're on in your area?

Not that I can find in its front-end.
It does have a .XML file that seems to list towns and frequencies. I've put the ones that are nearby into a .ini and did a scan with nextpvr and not found any more channels though.

You can find all the info on Waltham (Central) here: https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Waltham
Are these what you put in your .ini file?

I found the frequency for the bbc channels hidden in a bit of the GUI I missed. The magic numer's 482166
Added it to a .ini, did a scan and the BBC channels are listed OK.

Each of the new channels shows 'Error starting transcode: error: Internal Server Error' when I try to watch it though.
Logs of scanning, adding and trying to play attached

Is this the relevant bit?

The Other folder doesnt exist. Why's it looking for ffmpeg?
I don't think I've set stuff to trancode anything (but was thinking about it finding a way to..)
