NextPVR Channels Not Responding

NextPVR creates a task for each tuner and these tasks connect to the tuners and transfer data from the tuner to the NextPVR Recording Service.

On your system, the ndigitalhost-20 task is receiving a good signal and is recording as expected. The ndigitalhost-22 task is not receiving a good signal and is not receiving data. It might be that the tuning information is in a pickle.

The ndigitalhost log has messages like this ...

The quality = value needs to be grater than zero on all tuners.

The simplest option might be to go to NextPVR Settings --> Devices and rescan for channels on both tuners/devices.

And if you can stop/restart the server immediately before doing the test and not have any significant client activity during the testing, that will help to keep the logs clean from extraneous information so that we can focus the problem.

Rescanned both tuners. All the same.

A file is created on the L Drive. When you click on it the error message "Can't play, The file isn't playable, that might be because the is unsupported, the file extenstion is incorrecte or the file is corrupt. These files will play on VLC. L Drive has 3.08 TB Free. The signal is fine. KMTV is my strongest station. PBS IPTV is my weakest. I just did a recording on IPTV. It show as recorded in Nextpvr and on L drive vlc.

I don't think that the issue is whether I can play a file or not. Last night I made two beautiful hour long recordings on PBS, IPTV that play on Nextpvr, Kodi, and VLC. The issue is why can't I see the other channels when my Wintv 8.5 plays all of them but Nextpvr seems not to.

You're telling me you're getting files, and they play in VLC, but not in NextPVR or Windows, which is why I wanted a sample file - to check if there is anything wrong with the content being recorded from those channels.

The "quality=-0" indicates that the tuner is not receiving a signal. You need to find out why this tuner is not receiving a signal.

Did NextPVR find the same quantity of channels on both tuners when you did the scan?

Not receiving a signal seems to be what is happening. Both tuners had the same quantity of turners on both channels. The signal remains strong when viewed on the WinTv 8.5 viewer that comes with the board. For some reason, Nextpvr is not seeing that signal. At this point, I am considering doing a complete new install of Nextpvr and see if that works.

Use WinTV to record two shows at the same time ... that will force the the use of two tuners at the same time ... Is it correct that the device is a dual tuner (not a single tuner and not a quad tuner)?

This morning I went into devices and discovered that we I rescaned many of the stations were duplicated. I Deleted all of the old scans. I made new scans and all of my stations are working properly.

I wish to thank all of you who were helping me through this frustrating process. I could have never done it without you help.
