Windows Service Hangs in "Starting" status after using InstallService.batch

Next time try right clicking on NextPVRService.exe to view the properties the context menu. Select properties. Click 'Unblock' at the bottom of the General tab.

I'm looking into how to have this happen automatically.

Ok, I'll try that.

FYI, when I deleted my Users\NPVR-data folder and installed v5 from scratch the service started and the web page came up first time.

I may have found my problem. I have been using 8867 instead of the default 8866 for my v5 server. In config.xml for v5 I changed the port back to 8866  (after restoring my NPVR-data folder) then did some experiments and never saw the service stuck in 'starting' any more. I decided to use the default port for v5 from now on and clanged v4 to use port 8867.
