Hey Sub when are going add 4 segment as well as removing the older segment as it goes along in to Linux like Windows dose ?.

It should already be doing that. What type of tuner were you using?

All ATSC tuner WinTV dualHD, HVR-1800 and HVR-22500
It just write one file hours on end

There is a segmented rolling file which is too short on linux to be of value and when transcoding the m3u8 files which can be numerous.

In shspvr's case, it sounds like he's saying it's not rolling at all.

This is intentional. That's just the way HLS works, particularly if you want a client that can rewind live tv etc. You can control the number of segments using the <HLSSegmentCount> setting in config.xml. The default is 200.
