What is the best way to backup the entire configuration?  I see an import/export of recorded streams but nothing to do with the source channels, epg, channel mapping, etc. Thanks.

The files config.xml and npvr.db3 hold all the configuration information. Martin

I read a post today and saw a good point that you should probably also backup the scripts folder if you have custom scripts. media\channels is good too if you have custom channels icons. Martin

Thanks Martin for forwarding your findings, much appreciated. I'll include in my backups going forward.

Hello, what's the best way to backup and restore the channel order/numbers? The frequencies may change upon a rescan... I just want a way to rescan all the channels but instead of manually typing in all the numbers again (which takes ages as I've loads of channels), a more automated / quicker way to restore a particular channel name(s) to a specific number(s). Ideally, when I do a rescan (as channels move frequencies sometimes), it would overwrite the existing channels WITHOUT replacing the channel numbers I have previously painstakingly rearranged. Sorry, not sure if posting here is best so created a separate post just in case. |
