adding channels to iptv listing

I subscribe to an IPTV service that I have incorporated into NPVR. 
My epg listings are mainly from the xmltv file provided from the service, but I have filled in some of
the gaps from a schedules direct account.

My service has now added some new channels to their lineup.  I would like to add at least some of those channels into my 
programming.  I'm not sure how to do this without destroying the existing epg mapping.  If I simply import the new
channel list, I'm afraid I will lose all the SD guide data.

Is there a way I can selectively add new channels to my NPVR from my service without re-importing everything?

My suggestion is copy npvr.db3 to another file, try what you want and if you don't like the results use the backup. I think the updating in v5 is better but in my testing it can cause some unexpected changes.
