Recorded TV list to jump to first letter(s) typed

In the Recorded TV menu, one currently has to manually scroll up/down, or use the arrow keys, to find a specific recording.

It would be great if the recorded TV list automatically jumped to recordings that began with the first letter that is typed in using a keyboard (rather like the TV Listings plug-in does), or even better, to search whilst the user continues to type (i.e. refine the search the more letters of the first word are typed) like WMC.

It's a good suggestion for keyboard users. There is another option to use the number key for percentage jumps 1=10%, 2=20% etc which I find handy with a remote but will work with a keyboard too.

I'd support a letter or number based scroll too.
Scrolling even with a wheel mouse takes forever especially when a certain household member keeps 100s of recordings !

Actually I don't want a number search because I would want to keep percentage jumping. So for me this is alpha only.

I 100% agree with Martin on this one as I almost exclusively us a remote for my viewing.... but I do think the alpha proposal is a good idea.

To be honest, anything that makes scrolling through the recording list easier would be a help. For me holding the FF button on the remote does scroll down the recording list but has a habit of not stopping when you release the button hence not that useful.
