Comskip working with knewc, but autoskip is forced on?

I have comskip working during playback on my ODroid N2 (CoreElec v9.2.1 OS, Kodi v18.5) running knewc v2.7.4.  I used the info in the sticky regarding path substitution, admittedly it took me a while to figure out it was much more simple than I was making it out to be. 

The trouble I have now is that during playback it always auto-skips the commercials, even when autoskip is off (toggled with 999).  I cannot index backwards into a "commercial zone" without playback jumping to the end of that commercial segment.  It's basically impossible to view any portion of the recording comskip has deemed a commercial.

Here's my log with debug turned off.  Search for "2020" as an example of the playback issue.

I repeated this with debug on, but the log upload fails.  Perhaps there a min repeat upload interval.

Any thoughts?

First did you make sure your comskip files uses mode 3 to skip and not 0 which is cut as explained in the read me?

If so, without a debug log there is nothing much that I can see. There a two comskips, one with Kodi and one that UI client mode uses, sorry I can't tell which is being used.

Check out the Kodi log uploader addon to simplify logs posting, URL's to the pastebin are fine for me.

Mmmm, so is my comskip really old if my comskip.ini doesn't have "edl_skip_field"? :-O

You can edit the last digit of the edl file from 0 to 3 to see if that helps, assuming it is Kodi doing the skipping.

What happens to playback on NextPVR Client or PCH?

NextPVR likely is ignoring that setting because it doesn't treat it as as cut.

Thanks Martin. Editing the edl file and changing the last 0 on each line to 3 worked.

So I added the edl_skip_field=3 to my comskip.ini, we'll see if that works moving forward with new recordings. But I presume any existing recording will either not work or require re-running comskip on the .ts files.

New recordings should be fine, but you will need to confirm it is work. The ini setting doesn't impact old files so old recordings will work but when they are 0 Kodi will cut them as it is supposed to do.

Didn't work. Gonna need to upgrade my comskip. Any version issues to be careful of?

I have no idea what version to suggest I run the latest with my linux system (set for donator's version). It was added way back in 2013 http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopi...t=15#p6384 and there have been many updates. Maybe confirm that you setup comskip.ini properly.
