Not updating?

Running the update and its not doing as it should after the it goes through downloading and what I think is installing it still says Version: 5.0.1.200103  (5.0.1.200209 is available for download) in settings.

You probably have NextPVR manually installed and didn't select the existing folder when the installer prompted you for the install folder, which default to C:\Programs Files\NextPVR. The good news is you data is not impacted and it is a simple fix.

1. If you are manually running NextPVRServer in a batch file point to the new install location.

or

2. If you are running as a service as administrator run

net stop "NextPVR Service"
sc delete "NextPVR Service"

3. Rerun the installer and you should be good to go.

4. After confirming that NextPVR is on the new version you can delete the old program location.

Either way do NOT delete the data folder in C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data

Hi Martin, I'm seeing the same issue.
I tried the sc delete "NextPVR Service"
My install is at C:/Program Files/NPVR/

What I'm not seeing is any prompt as to where to do the install.
It downloads and does the install.

When done Version: 5.0.1.200103 is still reported.

Any other ideas?

You don't get a change to modify it after you have installed it.

Did you get any message when you ran sc delete? I do need to update the steps to say stop the service first.

Doing both commands fixed the issue (net stop/then delete)
