I have installed version 5 (upgrading from version 4). My machine is Windows 10 64, with 4 Hauppauge TV Tuners installed. This config has run using version 4 with no problems for several years. NexPVR has been rock solid in fact..
The install seems all good, the NextPVR service is running, and I can start the client OK...
But, then I cant setup the tuners.. I right click to go to settings, then select Devices & Channels, this opens a browser address http://localhost.8866/settings.html, and I immediately get an error:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line:  65
Char:  15
Error: Expected " :"
Code:  0
URL:  http://localhost:8866/components/manage-channels.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes/No

I get 16 of these come up - one for each control on the page.. then the page finally opens (doesn't matter if I select Yes or No to continue running scripts. But nothing works of course.. and the version number is just a .

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
Not sure where to go from here...

Thanks for any help!

What browser are you using?

Basically all the configuration is fine in the web app these days, using http://localhost:8866/index.html

I am using Chrome... The web app address you give is different, I was accessing it via the windows client. That opens a browser using this address:
http://localhost:8866/settings.html
instead of the one you posted:
http://localhost:8866/index.html

The index version works... so I am now scanning channels Smile

Should the client be updated to use that address rather than the settings.html?

Thanks sub...

hmm.. that is weird... I have just tested this, and if I go to settings via the windows client it doesn't work, but if I use the index address, then go to settings is does work... but the addresses are exactly the same.
http://localhost:8866/settings.html

When accessing via the windows client, I get the script error.. but if I then just refresh the page, I get the login Required page, I login and then get more script errors.

I can just use the index address and get it all setup though, so I will do that.
Thanks again for your help sub.

I'm guessing maybe it comes down to a different browser? Maybe the old Internet Explorer is your default browser, and what gets shown when you click the link in the windows client, and it's not up to the task.
