If your are reviewing this note to include the SD password since it also gets involved in the config.xml firefox browser mess up.

Yes, Martin, that was what I was talking about.

are you able to open a new browser tab and reproduce this? If so, what was the original url you started from? When you clicked 'login' were the username/password fields emptied? Did you get red text with 'login failed'. (if you can't reproduce, don't bother answering these - they wont help)

When you first visit the web app, it redirects you to the login page, then after login, it redirects you to the page you originally requested. It sounds like you'd some how managed to get the login page as that original page, so you were just being redirected to the login after successfully logging in...and so on.

You can paste to that screen - you can't copy from these fields, because the password is not there. As explained, we don't know what your password is, so it's there on that page for you to copy from.
Yes, that is what i was talking about.

Let say a Users has a complicated or long password such as @e4sie$#%sl5i8. This will be difficult to input blindly twice without making an minor error.

By copying that complicated or long password and pasting it into the Log-in or Access screen will solve that issue of inputting a erroneous password blindly.

There is nothing to stop you pasting in a long complicated password from a password manager or wherever.

To tell you the truth, I afraid to try and change the log-on data in Access settings again. But if I need to do it again in the future and the same thing happens again I will open a new thread about it. I imagine hopefully by that time it will be working correctly no matter which browser you use.

On the Access setting screen when I inputted my personal login name but default password and new password, I did get a Red warning that the original password was incorrect. In fact I got that warning every time I tried something different or inputted the same data.

Yes, when I tried to login on the Login Screen I did get "Login Failed" warning.

Each time I tried to input my Log-in data, all the Log-In Fields were empty with the original log-on screen in both in Access settings and Log-in screen.

As I mentioned, I have Firefox configured not to save or input any data in my browser.

Ah, sorry - I think I missed the point of what you were saying about this eye / showing password. I was fixated on the Access screen, since that was what I'd originally asked about. I could add the ability to show you what you've typed on the Login screen. (not the Access screen)

Strangely enough, I just log out and log in again and my password manager doesn't see it. Normally when a Login screen appears in a browser, Roboform will pop up a menu for you to click and enter the password. But some websites Roboform doesn't recognize so it is not a problem.

EDIT: Now Roboform does see the NPVR Login screen (-:

Just wanted to add an update to NextPVR version 5.

KODI has been working flawlessly while watching Recorded TV programs and watching videos. This is due because I updated my NextPVR from version 4 to version 5. Big Grin   No lags, short freezes, errors and everything works quickly and smoothly.

I was wary of updating since Sub stated in his original statement that if you wanted a "Stable" version to keep using Version 4. But so far, at least on my computer using KODI, NextPVR Version 5 has been as stable as version 4. In fact it is much better than version 4 in my opinion.

I haven't updated version 5 since I installed it because everything is working well. Could also be that the author of KODI NextPVR Addon updated his version recently.

Hopefully in the future, the Download page for Version 5 will have version numbers on it to let Users know if there is a newer version out or not.

The http://localhost:8866/settings.html page shows the version you have installed, and lets you know if there is a new version available.
