If you have trouble n PreStartup.sh add these

ls -ld /media/jerry
tree -dug /media/jerry

and we can see what NextPVR sees

If I can say something, I had some difficult to record on a network share only because of some permissions but I finnaly solve it. Probably same thing happen here...

Hi sub,

I changed all permissions of /media, /media/jerry, /media/jerry/Passport and /media/jerry/Passport/Recordings to owner jerry, group jerry and mod 775. The good news is that Recordings now appears in NextPVR setup when I browse for a recording directory. It also appears in Kodi
under Videos/files. However when I try to record a show, I receive the following error mesage:

Let's Make a Deal S11E126 -
[KCNCDT] 4/3/2020 2:00:00 PM - 3:00:00 PM
FAILED S11E126 - : Costumed contestants compete for cash and prizes.
[Failed: Access to the path '/media/jerry/Passport/Recordings/Lets Make a Deal/' is denied.]

I must still be doing something stupid?

Going by the error message, it's clearly still some sort of permissions issue going on.

It does seem to be a permissions issue. I am wondering if it can’t create the final file in the path even though I gave permission to write there? What permissions does nextpvr require to write the
Show file?
