Before I could run the "correct" program I tried another install.   This time I turned off an anti-virus added program.  (never gave me a problem B4 .. but it IS an always running real time thing)  After turning that off .. I did another install attempt and NOW the install is working better .. I SEE my devices listed etc.  when clicking on the Npvr tray status icon.   Yay !!

But I'm back to the ORIGINAL problem which has always been regarding the channel setup.    I now get no connection to the Schedules Direct link.  I'm trying to scan the first tuner and all is input correctly etc.  and when I hit enter .. nothing.  no errors,  no activity, just sits there until I close the window.   Let me double check at the Sched. Direct web site directly to see if I can still access my account.

Thanks for hanging in there for me.   Having a lot of trouble navigating around Win 10.   I HAVE been using 10 on two other computers since it first came out.  NO problems at all.  But I have both those systems modified and configured so they fit my needs and they work and look like the old win 7 pro system.   That was several years ago.   This brand new Win 10 install doesn't look or play anything like my other two Win 10 pcs.  (It originally was a  long and complicated process to make 10 work the way "I" wanted)   So I apologize as I am sorta re-acquainting myself with this fresh original win 10 environment.  I'll get used to it eventually.   Blush

Let  now try to figure out what's up with the sched. direct thing not working.

Ok, yeah must be an anti-virus type problem then.

On the Settings->Guide page, do you see your Schedules Direct lineups listed at the top of the page (in the 'EPG Sources' section)? If not, have you entered your correct Schedules Direct username and password further down that page, and ciocked the 'login and refresh SD lineups' button?

Shows for EPG Sources .
     DVB/ATSC EPG
     Schedules Direct  [USA-00000001-CUSTOM]

Schedules Direct
  User Name ....
  Password ...

All of above is pre-filled.   I don't want SD channels so didn't select.  Did opt to download channel icons.
which popped up a notice it was being done.

So I now have over 300 channels installed on my 1st tuner.  Trying to play a few.  Some work but most report the video was being blocked by my browser.  Firefox.  I've got EVERYTHING turned off in the browser.  No tracking, or any kind of security etc.   The TV guide shows all the channels but NO listings.  I'm going to try MS Edge browser.

The fact you're seeing your 'Schedules Direct [USA-00000001-CUSTOM]' lineup listed means you're at least got your correct Schedules Direct username and password, and it can talk to it.

From memory, the '[USA-0000001-CUSTOM]' line up is old 'HDHomeRun Premium TV' lineup, which is now defunct, so probably not useful to you. You can click the trash can to get rid of it.

If you don't have any channel assigned to Schedules Direct, that 'download channel icons' button isn't going to do anything.

When you're ready to add Schedules Direct to your channels, your first step will be hitting that 'Add SD Channel Lineup' button, then entering your zip code, hitting search, and selecting the most appropriate lineup for where you get your TV from.

The app is telling you exactly what is happening here. The browser is blocking video playback. I'm pretty sure with firefox, in the your browser address bar, at the very left there is a symbol you can click, and a window will popup with various permission settings for that web page, including allowing video to play.

Here is a picture showing you where the setting are in firefox. Try playing a channel, then your'll get this button in your browser address bar. Choose 'Allow Audio and Video'.

Works okay with MS Edge browser.  Still no guide data but I can play the channels when selected.  I would prefer FireFox but will work on that later.
Now to figure out why I'm not seeing any guide data.  All the channels are  there.  This is kind of what I was going thru with earlier install attempts.  Problems getting the right guide data to display.

I guess now I should delete the existing channel line up and re-do the channel scan again but use another guide selection from sched. direct?  But I have to say this point is where I was when everything went bonkers.  I only have a couple more free hours before I have a lot of Sunday programs due to record.  I have to get that old system back on line soon.  Maybe I'll re-visit this tomorrow.  Thanks again for the help ...

See above. You just need a couple of mouse clicks to unblock video in FireFox.

When you go to Settings->Channels, what is the 'EPG Source' listed next to each channel? I'm guessing it's probably 'none', since that is the default with an HDHR Prime until you explicitly tell it otherwise.

The typical steps to add Schedules Direct would be to go to the Settings->Guide page, click the 'Add SD Channel Lineup' button. Enter your zip code, hit search. Select the appropriate lineup. (You probably want to click the trash can lineup next to that 'USA-0000001-CUSTOM' lineup to get rid of it)

Next, head to the Settings->Channels screen, click AdvancedTools->AutoMap. Select the tuner type, and your SD lineup, then hit 'auto map'. Your channels should all now show 'Schedules Direct' as the EPG Source. Head over to the Settings->General, and hit 'update epg' to pull in the listings.

Ah thanks .. yeah I knew about that but didin't think to use it.   Just configured and now all the channels have audio and video etc.   Progress !!

Note:  I'm still signed in only as admin.   I'll have to get that changed.

Next up (if I have enough time) I guess I'll have to figure out why the guide data is missing.

BTW, just an observation.  I ONLY need about 70 of the 400 channels and haven't found an easy way to uncheck 330 of them all at once while scrolling through the list.  Being constrained by needing to adhere to the windows browser navigational things is a pain. For example, sometimes with a normal compiled windows EXE (not a browser based thing) you can control navigation or item selection by holding down the shift and then bulk selecting the whole list or portions as needed.   But with this browser based thing, I have to work in a small window of about 10 lines - select each channel individually one item at a time, then scroll up to get the next ten over and over until I've deleted 330 channels.   There's got to be a better way.  Confused

The web app used support the same thing, but I broke it somewhere along the way. Someone pointed it out a few days ago, and it's fixed for the next release.
