The actual app seems to be now functioning normal. All the channels are listed in the guide. Only a few have data in the EPG. Some channels are playable. Some are not. Some have both channel # and downloaded channel Icon, some don't. I've been through the mapping process several times now I think I've downloaded the wrong guide. Would I be screwing up anything if I were to just delete the existing guide and do a new fresh scan using one of the other guides available? Again that seems to be the original problem. I don't know which of the available guides to use. With the old version 4 program I believe I chose one of two I remember .. both from Comcast in Andover, MA .. one tagged as digital and the other something else. Wish I could get this stupid Win 10 screen capture to work. Let me bring that up and I'll just type what it shows in the next post.

(ie, the channel numbers coming from your device, don't match the channel numbers in the channel lineup from Schedules Direct) Quote:I think I've downloaded the wrong guide.Yep. After this you'll need to head to Settings->Channels, and do the 'automap' again, and select the new lineup you want to associate the channels with. If you want to prepare yourself logon to Schedules direct and enter you zipcode and check the preview lineup options that match your cable co, satellite with OTA at the bottom. If you hover over Preview lineup the option for NextPVR will show up

EPG is fully propagated, all channels play and record. Martin - very familiar with Sched Direct and been using them for years. Here is the actual problem. When in the devices area and scanning and mapping etc. you have to work with the "channels" (in my case using sched direct). First to find the correct channel line up. And then after you've found it you then scan. The problem is that the LIST Name of an available line up first provided is different from the resultant finally displayed name after it's been downloaded and installed. Wish I could show you a screen cap. For example the lineup name found when searching said something like., "Comcast - Andover, MA Digital Cable". So I select that and then after the scan is finished what shows up as the name of the listing is "Schedules Direct [USA-CT06437-X] And of course after trying several times I ended up with about 5 line ups saved .. none of which looked (namewise) remotely close to what the original name was. In short it was like the first part of the process was in English and the finished product was in some other language. So I hope you can see why I was so confused in the beginning. I had too many prior scans listed, none of which were named the same as what I was first reading on the screen before I scanned them. Anyway, thanks for the guidance ... I would not have gotten here without you guys. From what I see, I don't think there is much I would adjust or change. For now I'll just take it on it's maiden voyage for a few days. Looks nice .. Thanks again .. Rich

It might be that "Name" would be more helpful. .

I have modified the next build to include the Schedules Direct lineup name.

Thanks Graham and Sub .. I was just setting up the screen cap feature in this new win 10 build to show the difference here. But Graham beat me to it.
New vs 5 is impressive. But I have a deep routed dislike for web browser based programs. Sorry for that .. I understand the reasons for the change. It's just not my cup of tea. I'm seeing some potential and some other actual issues with this new version. I won't go into that stuff yet cuz I'm still getting used to the way this new browser based application works. I will start a new thread in a more appropriate forum area about my concerns later. Meanwhile I will continue to familiarize myself with this version 5. I am also thinking of putting together something so I can install and test the old version 4 on a windows 10 new system. - Rich

Things are never black & white, with multiple postal and zip codes the friendly name isn't unique ie
