Evening all,

I'm a new user to NextPVR, looking for an option which isn't TVMosaic...

My IPTV supplier is NecroIPTV. When trying to setup the feed via Settings/Devices, I enter the m3u playlist URL and the EPG URL and press import.  I get a 'Downloading m3u' message then nothing else happens.

I tried this on another machine with the same result.  Does anyone have any idea as to where I might be going wrong?

Thanks,
Rich

Can you post the logs showing the attempt?

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply.  Have attached the zip file of the logs.  Last attempt was at 1205.

I also updated to 5.0.4.200428 today but that didn't make any difference.

If it helps, I have to press the import button 5 times before I get the 'Downloading m3u' message.

Ta
Rich

For privacy reasons the m3u url is not shown and we can't test but every attempt we see this so you need to confirm that it is the correct URL

Failed to download channel list: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found

Thanks Martin, you we're certainly on the right track.

The URL from my provider is in this format...

http://neczbm.to:80/get.php?username=xxx...put=mpegts

This works for things like VLC, Kodi etc.

I took the end of the URL away so it looks like this...

http://neczbm.to:80/get.php?username=xxx...x&type=m3u

That seems to have resolved the matter - thanks for your input and apologies if I missed out something obvious.

Best Regards,
Rich

I wonder what type=m3u_plus might give you? You changed the type too.

The Difference between m3u and m3u_plus is the grouping and additional metadata
i.e.
m3u only
#EXTINF:-1,BBC One FHD
http://<host>:<port>/<user>/<pass>/<channel>

m3u_plus
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="UK: BBC 1" tvg-name="BBC One FHD" tvg-logo="<url>.jpg" group-title="UK Entertainment",BBC One FHD
http://<host>:<port>/<user>/<pass>/<channel>

Guys,

Now you are getting ridiculous - you are solving issues before I've even had chance to ask what I've done wrong!!  Big Grin

So, once I knew NextPVR would do the job so to speak, I changed my m3u url to the one I get from Xtream.  Everything worked, even channel groups, but the channel names I edited in Xtream weren't coming through.

A quick check on this thread unexpectedly explained where I was going wrong.  As you rightly point out, I had been using the m3u and not the m3uplus link.

Thank you, you've named what has been a pretty rubbish day a little easier in the end.

All the best,
Rich
