win10 E-AC3 decoding issue

Hi,

switched back to 4.2.4 as I  had the same issue with 5 release
despite installing ffshow and LAV decoders, none of them works to decode the E-AC3  audio

before using Win 7 it was working,issue occured switching to Win 10.

If I try to read the same video with the basic Film and TV apps  from W10,  it works perfectly.

The patch I supplied in this thread may work for you: (with E-AC3 set to LAV )

The most recent build of v5 also includes support for that type of E-AC3 audio.

If it doesn't work for you, you'll need to supply a short sample recording, so I can see how your broadcaster has included it in the stream. (there is a few different ways they can do it)

thank you it works. The only small annoyance is the fact despite E-AC3 decodeur is specifiied, it complains about not being defined.
this message disappears after few seconds and it works perfectly.

Would it not be better to stay on v5 and get this fixed in v5 so sub doesn't have to keep coming back to v4?

Ok but with 5.0.4 despite trying LAV or ffdshow it does not work . I am using the Desktop app
Do I need to update the file in the installation ?

What date time do you have on NPVRTSReader5.ax in v5?

I added the file NPVRTSReader5.ax under program/nextpvr but still not working

Can you supply a short sample recording? It worked fine for that previous jrockow recording for me.
