If you login into the web app, the open another tab, and open the following url, does it eventually return content, or an error?

http://localhost:8866/services/service?m...ormat=json

I loaded it up fine here with the new but I had to fake the filename.

Did you hit ctrl-F5 to refresh the browser.

Also while I here @sub, if you could have the recording image box in a fixed thumb perspective it would look a lot better then having the poster image jump out at you.

For me, with the latest NShared.dll, the recording list is loading when I visit http://localhost:8866/recordings.html

It's a big ass list of recordings, and was pretty painful the first time I tried to view the page, since it went off to try tracking down artwork for the huge number of different show names.

Now that it is past the artwork hurdle, it's still pretty slow to load the page, at about 10 seconds (and I've got a pretty fast machine). About 5 seconds of that is getting the recording list, and 5 seconds is Chrome parsing the page, and making a big page, with lots of items, and loading in lots of artwork. I'll take a look where most of the initial 5 seconds on there NextPVR side is spent, to see what improvements I can make.

Yep, I've been intending to do that the last couple of days. Just gotta work out the css I need, so that it doesn't break other stuff, and can still resize when browser window size changes.

My two cents is this is why you don't want to show a Video Library of mp4 files in the web app. It may have been better in previous versions when they were filtered out.

I've attached an updated NShared.dll which takes about 1/10th of the time on the NextPVR side.

The bulk of the time was checking for any remembered playback position of each recording. The updated NShared.dll does it in a more optimal way, check this for every recording in the one call, instead of 900 separate calls.

The page is now loading for me in the browser in about 3 seconds. (It's not entirely clear why the Chrome side also seems to have got quicker - maybe because I don't have the browser dev tools open now)

That change should improve things for anyone with a largish recording list, even if they don't have quite as many recordings as SteveTyrakowski.

I would think the bulk of the time is the directory lookup especially if a spinup is necessary

The web app doesn't currently check if the file exists. I disabled that in the previous build.

Do you mean in this new NShared dll? I just tried with this database and all I get are the failed recordings.
