You should send your zipped nextpvr logs to see if it is getting a connection.

Yeah, nothing but 3 local ip's. Are you really sure you have the router "DMZ" set up to pass 8866 to 192.168.1.8

We might be onto something here lol. DMZ?! No idea and I've never used it or dealt with it. I have an Orbi mesh Wifi system. I have the port forwarding section setup to open 8866 tcp/upd for 192.168.1.8. My router does have a "default DMZ server" section in the WAN settings. I have to enable it and assign it one of my internal IP addresses...so I assume that would be 192.168.1.8. Might this solve the problem?

If your ORBI is connected to the ISP router you need to make sure the ISP router is in bridge mode. At this point it doesn't seem like a NextPVR and you need to play around and do some more research.

So at this point I am at a bit of a loss, but I'll keep messing with it.

Ok to confirm your Orbi router is directly connected to the internet and not to a modem or router from the ISP.
