EPG Update fails with newest version 5.0.7.200726

Hello sub,

i am having the problem again, that the EPG does not work at night.

The tuners only report an error tuning to the channels to get the EPG data.

I have seen, that you removed an option in 5.0.7 for "restarting" the tuners afters standby, wich solved my problem time ago.

So now my Digital Devices DVB-C tuner card, does not work with the automatic EPG update.

Can we find a solution for this? Perhaps it would be nice, if the setting, that solved the problem for me, is a selectable option in the settings page, so everyone can switch it on or off, like it is better for each person?

I attached the logs, Tuner-8 tries the update, and fails at night.

but it is not clear why the error creating the graph is occurring.

Hello. I had the exact same errors before. There is a thread here about that problem. sub fixed it time ago, but now the fix is removed.

The behavior occurs after 1-2 days, where the PC is entering standby and waking up several times.

Also the manuell EPG update in the web-gui does not work. First i always thought it is a PC problem, because after a reboot everything is fine, but, it is not a PC problem because:

- Watching live TV works, recordings work
- It is enough to restart the NPVR service, and EPG Data works again

So it is only a problem of the NPVR service and not of the computer.

I am not sure that sub took out a fix, I believe what he did was took out a change that restarted the tuner devices on resume. It would be worth sending the most recent logs to confirm that it is the same error on loading the tuner graph.

The restarting of the tuners was the fix. And that was took out.

I restartet the service yesterday, so the EPG update worked tonight. Perhaps tonight, or one day more, and it will fail again.

Shall i then send the logs again?

Ultimately that fix was causing issues for quite a few people, so it was easier to just remove it for now.

If you untick 'Keep digital tuners primed' does the issue go away?

His tuners aren't primed. The graph just didn't open and then things go South.

it is correct, that i dont have my tuners primed.

I exchanged the NShared with the one attached, and i will check what happens the next days. Unforntunatly it always takes some time, to see what happens.

May i ask, what you have changed? Simply the "old" trick again, or are you trying something new?
