OK well I won't play with KNEWC for now since the PVR addons works very well. I am going to try a fresh install because I am thinking something might be resetting that option. Not sure when but I will report back when I do it. Thanks again.

I played with cc'ing this afternoon and saw what you saw that nothing is permanent even on the same channel. That is for the Kodi forum I think.

Sometimes I see a large delay in channel changing, while most of the time it's quick. It even sometimes gets hung up with multiple channel changes when one fails to playback.

Not sure what I can do about that...

Also I get no audio often with random channels. I think I've noticed that problem is less when I have timeshift enable instead of real time.

I was just not testing Matrix to see if the pvr functions work better. It seems like it may be less reliable but still testing. It's quicker channel changing for sure though. Is that because of the direct steam option? I hadn't noticed that option in the older kodi version.

Feel free to open another thread in the Kodi sub section with the required logs and we can have a look. If you have bad signals you cannot expect smooth performance.

Real time is best for channel changing. The options are the same in both versions of Kodi but t am able to customize the options better with new features in Matrix
