I just logged on to the web interface on my phone to check something out, and I tapped on a "Delete" against the list of recent recordings.

And that's it - it's gone!

No confirmation of delete, not even in the Recycle Bin - gone!

Trying to run a low level recovery against the disk to see if I can restore it.

Correct.

None of the set top boxes I've used in the past have popped up boxes messages saying 'are you sure you want to delete this?' when I tell it to delete something, so it didn't seem like something NextPVR needed.

But I'm sure that the STB's don't have it as an easily accessible button press on a touch interface (which isn't that user friendly on a small screen in itself), I have seen the "Delete" on an STB often on a "move right then press OK" or as a context menu option, though.

Plus, this isn't a STB, it's a computer program, and we should have the luxury of nice UI and the ability to confirm such destructive actions.

Could you please add the option to enable a "are you sure you want to delete?" confirmation?

I've added a 'confirm on delete' setting in the next release for those that want it.
