Is there any way to auto-update the M3U file every day without having to manually log into the web interface and click the "Update M3U" button? Maybe a script of some sort that could do it for me? I have a lot of channels which change names on a daily or weekly basis for things like live sports, PPV event, etc, and having to go in a click that button and save it each day is just a tedious task and one that I feel should be able to be automated in some way. I already use an M3U editor to pick the channels and categories that I want, so I'm not worried about it adding random roque channels or messing up my configuration. 95% of the channels will stay the same, but those 5% that change need to be updated all the time.

I simple forum search for "daily" would have let you to this thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ight=daily It is designed to handle URL changes and additions, name changes will typically be adds.

I don't think it will update the EPG for adds, and you will be responsible for deletes.

When I try to run that command from either PowerShell or CLI, I get this error.

Zipped logs are required for support.

Your log file looks like it's cut short. Did you use the 'log files' button in the Settings page? You need to to make sure the logs are flushed to disk.

Click the log files button immediately after reproducing the problem (so it's the last thing in the logs), then post the logs again.

Circling back to this post as I'm still trying to figure out a way to auto-update my IPTV channel names on a daily basis without having to manually update the M3U through the web interface. I've tried running that script again and get the same error I was getting before, and I've uploaded a full log which was flushed to the disk immediately after running the command in Powershell. The exact command I'm running is "dotnet NScriptHelper.dll -pin:1234 -serviceConfusedetting.m3u.update"

I don't think that was ever fixed https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid534575 as sub was expecting you to use the web page.

Yeah, unfortunately that was the best current advice - use the web page.

Pretty much no one is using the full m3u these days. You're much better to filter to only channels you're really interested in, and this only possible via the web app at this stage.

I'm not using a full M3U , I use m3u4u.com to customize my list and the channel ID's/URL's always remain the same. But what changes frequently are the NAMES of the channels, primarily for live event such as sporting events and PPV events, and the only way I can find to update those names is to do an M3U update through the web interface. But when things like NFL and Baseball games are changing on a daily basis it's a PITA to have to log into the web interface daily and manually update the M3U. I'm just surprised there's no option integrated into the software which allows you to automatically update channel names from the M3U or at least have command that you can use to schedule a daily task in Windows.
