From your description, it does sounds like the problem was the shows not being shown in the guide as being already scheduled, so you manually scheduled them again.

Yes, but why is that possible? Why did the web app not show that I had already scheduled these recordings? If they were actually scheduled why did they not show and why was I allowed to somehow select them multiple times without knowing?
At least NextPVR is smart enough to be able to record multiple files from the same stream on a channel so it did not take up 4 tuners, but I'm running low on space on the recording drive so before I move a bunch of things I don't want this shutting down recordings due to space.
Web pages aren't dynamic so you may need to ctrl f5 to refresh them after a period. Definitely don't count on the EPG as much as the recording list on the home page or recordings list.
Should NextPVR block multiple manual recording? I can't think of a legitimate use case so I say yes. It has always bugged me recording live TV.
The one good thing about NextPVR being able to record multiple instances of the same stream is that when you record back to back movies/shows on the same channel and both use pre and post padding you don't end up with chopped off files like in Windows Media Center....which isn't smart enough to switch to an open tuner since it's not smart enough to record multiple files from the same stream. This feature alone is why I no longer record anything with WMC ....and the fact that I don't have to deal with WTC files which you have to convert to TS files first to edit manually, as I do everything I record.

Yes, that's what I'd like to know. I've not seen any other reports.
Are there some steps you can find to reproduce the problem?
ie, does it initially go red when you schedule it? when you go away from the page and come back, is it still red? if you update the epg and come back, is it still red etc...

Yes, I like to look ahead in the guide and schedule anything I think I want to record for the next two weeks or so and that way I don't have to worry about checking the guide every night. It seems that occasionally when I come back to the guide I find that movies I could have sworn I scheduled are no longer selected and red, yes....it WAS red when I scheduled it but at some later point it is no longer red....which is why i reschedule it thinking either I forgot or somehow the guide lost my info. I still have things scheduled that I did so days ago so it's not the guide updating because the guide updates every morning at 3 am.
My machine has been freezing lately which forces me to do a forced shutdown with the power switch, could this be causing the issue? I have identified the issue with the machine so it shouldn't freeze any more.

Is this because of "conflicts" in the recording schedule?
For example, on Monday, you might request that a show to be broadcast on Friday is to be recorded. On Tuesday, you might request that a different show to be broadcast on Friday is to be recorded. There might not be enough tuners to record both shows and NextPVR might bump the Monday request to allow the Tuesday request to be recorded.
In any event, you will need to post logs that show the problem. Don't reboot the computer running the NextPVR Server service because this resets the logs and older log information can be lost. Post logs when you seee that a previously scheduled recording has disappeared from the schedule and tell us the name of the show and tell us the day and time when you scheduled the recording. Thanks.

Martin
Which post? What might these other options be?
Good point I may not have clicked send. Any of the recording list the home page with the upcoming is easiest but the Schedules page is good too. Even a search should show it it red.
