I am experimenting, attempting to end up with a smaller higher quality mp4 file.  I'm playing now with the transcode setting.  I set it to 480p, both for streaming and auto transcode, and the video encoder at nvidia.  But my result was at 720p.  What, if anything, have I not done?  Should not, the resulting recording have been 480p?  Help, the wiki explanations appears to reflect some earlier version of nextpvr.

2nd, when trying to use lav filters, I am unable, yet, to confirm they have been selected as the desired filter.  How do I select and order them into action?  Thank you.   Smile

You forgot the logs, again. Also you will never get an mp4 file with built in transcoding they us a ts mux. LAV is for NextPVR.exe not the web.

OK on the mp4, I convert later in the process. I don't understand about the lav and nextpvr.exe and the web, sorry, missing the essence.  Attaching the logs.  Thank you.

I can see the LAV association in the config.xml.

The logs show the 480p default and it looks like they aren't passed to ffmpeg. Sub will need to look not much is logged on this process.

LAV is used by the NextPVR Windows client not the web application you probably need some wiki reading.

If you set the transcoder back to CPU, does the resolution then change?

It appears that after I reboot the pc, yes, it does transcode to 480p. Thank you.
