Hello...
I'm using NextPVR 5 and a Hauppauge HVR-1250 PCIe tuner.
When I do a channel scan, it only seems to pick up SD channels.
When I connect a TV, I will see two versions of multiple channels.
I can do 3.1 and then go up a channel and it's still 3.1, but the HD version.
On the TV's channel list, it shows duplicates, whereas NextPVR does not.
Does NextPVR support that functionality?
Also, I haven't seen any means of showing the information about the channel (resolution, signal strength, etc...).
Are these options that exist?
Thanks...
JJ

Please attach logs showing a channel scan ... Thanks ... https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help

I looked at the list and you are getting lots of channels you seem to get two cities which makes it a little harder to review for missing ones. Are you saying NextPVR isn't showing all the channel 3 sub channel? They appear to be in your list

"channelNumberFormated": "3.1",
"channelNumberFormated": "3.2",
"channelNumberFormated": "3.3",
"channelNumberFormated": "3.4",
"channelNumberFormated": "3.5",
"channelNumberFormated": "3.6",

Do you have a specific example of a problem station?

Note in the future you only need to use the 2-36 channel scan after FCC changes.

What I'm saying is that, on the TV, there are 2 versions of 3.1 (480i and 720p).
If I channel up to 3.1, it's the 480i version.
I can channel up one more time and get the 720p version.
If I type 3.1, I get the 480i version, etc...
In NextPVR, I only get what I assume is the 480i version (since it's fuzzy in full-screen).
Since I don't see any information, I have to guess.
I don't see any means of getting the 720p version of the channels.

I don't see two versions of KYTV here or on the internet and they one you tested should be HD. Did you try in NextPVR.exe the web browser is not using direct play so it is not the best client for testing.

There are two KYCW but they are not on channel 3.1 they are 25.2 and 33.2

Hmmm...
I wonder why TVs have 2 versions.
Is there any way to verify the resolution?

Also, I've been using the web player as it actually performs quite a bit better.
I've been using EVR and LAV filters.

You could do a sample recording, a post a link, and I'll check it.

I installed Kodi and it shows the resolution.
Apparently, it is 720p.
I'm not sure why every TV I've used scans two versions (480i and 720p).

Just to be sure you are talking about the NBC channel KYTV on 3.1 There are some channels on 33.1 and 33.2 which have are duplicate SD and HD versions, not sure how NextPVR will display those.
