knewc 2.9.0 Release Dual Mode

Thanks this code wasn't finished in one of the conversions and since no one was using this it never concerned me. It was supposed to load more data but v5 is not good for that, it is better to cache more EPG hours in the setting. I will change it to avoid the dialog.

Ok. in this example I tried setting the EPG cache to 5 but it still happens.

It will always happen when when you get near the end of the guide data. Using this old code (before I go involved) you are supposed to use the context menu to pick a future time.

The version we were discussing here is 3.1.0~a1; whilst the one in this current thread is 2.9.0~a2 (but good for both Kodi 18 and 19)
Is 2.9.0~a2 an update to 3.1.0~a1?

Yes this has all the features of the Matrix version we were discussing plus some improvement.

Hi Martin

Got around to dropping in a3, but note this issue is probably not related to this or even any version of knewc.

Simple message, I get a "Player Error" message, when trying to play a file from the VIDEOS menu in NPVR (on my RPi4).

Playing through Kodi direct plays fine. Any help identifying the issue would be appreciated.

Logs hopefully attached.

Right you are. I think I will add this to the repo now too it is stable enough and it will make updating easier.
