Cape-City, sorry but your error descriptions a blur to me.

Please describe your (single) most important problem clearly and I'll try to work through it with you.

Sub, you are not going to believe this but I have no such log.

Set the time it'll run conversion to 'ASAP' then perform a manual recording just a couple of minutes long. Then post you GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and if it exists GBPVRConvert.exe.log

Just so you know, it wont run the conversion on recordings that you 'cancel' to cut short.

Smile sorry when i confused U ...

the biggest problem in the 94.12 version was that the pc crashed when wakes up
from standby or done a 0 byte recording. the only thing i change in the config was
that i grab for 2 channels the epg from the dvb-t stream, the other channel gets
its epg as in the version before with the xmltv plugin.

hope i describe it now clearly with my lazy english ...

If its just after standby, then its not GB-PVR's fault. GB-PVR doesnt know anything about whether you hibernate/standby/wake your machine, and it shouldnt have to. Everything should be put back into its original working state by Windows. Its most likely a problem with the drivers of whatever capture device you're using no being reinitialized correctly by Windows. If worked for you in the past, then I'm guessing you were just lucky, or you've forgotten some other change you've made to your machine.

If you can reproduce the problem and then zip and post your log files, I'll try to give a more detailed diagnosis of what exactly is going wrong in this scenario.

o.k. i will try to reproduce the problem, but as i told he done a 0 byte recording
as well when the machine is still on - timeshift and manual record was working,
but a scheduled record due epg produced a 0 byte recording.

i will try a new update with the 94.12 version and dont change anything after it, just
see if everything is working correctly.

Or should i do a completly fresh install ?

When you produce the logs I'll have a closer look.

Either an upgrade or new install should be fine.

I had the problem again with the partial recording. Looks like it wasn't fixed. Here is the complete problem. With 0.94.12 the recording service will sometimes crash. When this happens I get a partial recording, the green light on the tray icon stays on, the devices stays "held", can't watch liveTV or do another recording. I didn't have this problem with 93.10 which I upgraded from, I also tried a fresh install. According to the logs the recording completed correctly. Both RecordingService.log and RecordingServiceNative.log say that recording stop at the correct time. Any thoughts on things to try? I am going to go back to 93.10 to check if it is working still.

Thanks,
-Luke

I havent tried to fix anything for your specific problem. From memory you were having problems where you PX-TV402U would sometimes stop mid recording. GB-PVR does nothing mid recording. It effectively tells the TV402U to start recording, then ignores until its reaches the time the recording is due to stop, at which time it tells the TV402U to stop. If it stops anywhere in between these two, then I think you've either got problems with your TV402U hardware or the drivers.

What error message are you getting. Is there an error showing in the logs?

I thought I had fixed 94.12 with a reinstall. You are right, I was having a similar problem 92.10-92.12 ( I think those are the numbers) but 91.05 and 93.10 worked fine. It might just be something on my side though and when I switched version there was something else going on. The are no errors in the logs and it looks like it is doing everything correctly. I will double check everything on my machine. Any idea why the try Icon would stay green and the status would say it is still recording though? Is it just that the recording incorrectly stops in the middle. Either way I agree there is something probably wrong at with the drivers or hardware... or USB weirdness.
