Maybe change it when the addon is disabled or when Kodi is stopped. And make sure you change the correct settings.xml in userdata not the plugin folder

I just confirmed it works as expected.

Can confirm I am editing userdata/addon_data/pvr.nextpvr/settings.xml

tried both, changing it when the addon is disabled & when Kodi is stopped.

has no affect on the connection, still trying to connect to http

HI, my fault can be a bit slow!

Would you mind explaining why the kodi version is the root cause & not that the plugin is missing the ability to use ssl?
i only ask because i am running emby plugin on Leia & that is connecting fine through my reverse proxy on ssl.
looking in the emby settings.xml has the following..

It is not Kodi. Kodi python and binary addons are version specific. The Leia version of pvr.nextpvr is hardcoded to use http.

Hi Martin. I have a reverse proxy server running and tried this with Matrix and next pvr. Everything is working except timeshift. I am recording the MLB WS game and started watching the recording from the beginning. When I hit the right arrow button the player stopped and closed. After changing back to "http" in the settings.xml and configuring kodi nextpvr then I could timeshift without a problem.

Sounds like I might have hardcode one there but that wasn't a debug log so I will have to check tomorrow to confirm. Thanks for testing.
