I'd suggest deleting your channels are rescanning now you're on the most recent build. The bug in the last release related to the creating of this adapter1-ATSC-channels.conf file

Thanks Sub.  I did delete the channels and rescanned and EPG update, but it still doesn't work so that may have been only part of the issue.  I did a reboot for good measure, but no dice.  I love that my linux box reboots in like 30 seconds. :-)

I did get the folder ownership figured out, I had to add uid= and gid= to the mount lines in my fstab file since the drives I'm using are NTFS formatted.  That took care of the file errors in the logs.  I set the owning user to my server login user and the group to "video".

Now I'm seeing an "804 tuner in use" error.  I tried watching Live TV and recording on one of each of the two tuners I have configured - one of the HDHR and one of the WinTV 2255.  The HDHR I had working before, but obviously I mucked that up somehow.  There are no scheduled recordings or remote clients on this server (yet), so it should be just my testing through the web interface that requests the tuners.

Logs attached.

Thanks,
-Brad

Well, not sure what happened while running in Windows this evening, but when I booted back to Mint after the wife went to bed now magically the HDHR works!  The WinTV 2255 still does not.  New error I'm seeing in the log file when I try to watch or record a show from TV Guide on 2255 is:

2020-10-25 23:28:36.422 [DEBUG][14] {"stat":"Failed","code":7,"msg":"No tuner is available at the specified time."}

Which I guess matches the "unavailable" text shown next to the tuners settings-devices.  I noticed I had actually done the channel scan on adapter1, so for giggles I copied the channels to adapter0 and set that to a higher position in the table, but no joy.

logs attached.

I suspect you server is staring up before the devices is available. Go back to dmesg to determine the time it takes and create a PreStarup.sh file like this one https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid530707

Looking at your post here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid547937 that would be about 22 seconds I bet you will find NextPVR was already loaded.

Ah, great catch Martin!

Makes sense, I'm at the desktop 10 seconds after picking Linux in the grub boot menu.  Dang Linux is too fast!

Confirmed, it's working with the PreStartup.sh file. Martin, you are the man!

I checked dmesg a couple times and it was in the 20-23sec range so I just put 30sec in to be safe. I couldn't think of a reason to set it closer to 23sec, I'd rather it just worked every time in case I'm not around when the server gets rebooted.

I'm really interested to see how long the Linux-based nextpvr server can go without a reboot before things get wonky. With Windows we were lucky to make it 2-3 weeks between reboots.

Now to find that post I saw about migrating recordings from Windohs to Linux....
