Kodi/knewc keyboard command equivalent for remote control Blue Button?

Anybody know the keyboard command equivalent for a remote control Blue Button press?

My wife used the Blue Button with our PCH's while watching recordings all the time to check the playback position.  I have that working on my RPi/Kodi/knewc via a gen2 Flirc USB/IR receiver.  However, for some reason if I download that saved .fcfg file with the Flirc software to a gen1 USB unit, it doesn't work at all (not just the blue button, the remote is completely useless).  I re-created the config with the Kodi template in Flirc, but there's no "Blue Button" on the Kodi template so I need to find the keyboard command to do it.  It's not on any keymapping lists I could find for Kodi.  I apparently knew it at one time!

No sooner than I press "post", it occurred to me this may have been a custom setup parameter I did editing the Kodi text config files. I'll do some research into that.

Wrong sub forum again but closer. I can't remember but BrettB has it working colours and the Alt letter combos should be working at least they were at one time, with and MCE or Hauppauge remote. I think you might need to noop them in a keymap so the default colour actions don't apply.

I made some decent notes on how I setup my Rpi and ODroids so I didn't have to relearn it all again when I added more clients, but somehow missed documenting this. The ODroids have built-in IR so I didn't need the blue button keyboard command, it was just the Rpi4.

I will root around in the Rpi folders after work tonight and search posts by BrettB, I know he had helped with other setup items earlier this year.

X-NEWA, the main Kodi forum is for the pvr addon.

Okay, got it. I always think of X-NEWA as the old client, vs knewc.

Here is the link I was thinking about https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid500808 Basically if you don't want the Kodi defaults this turn them into noop (no operation) meaning they are available in UI Client The links don't work anymore but it never really got much attention. I did put it in github https://raw.githubusercontent.com/emveep...extpvr.xml also.

Unfortunately my MCE remote doesn't have colour buttons and I don't have AAA batteries for the dozens of Hauppauge remotes I have so it is hard to test this right now.

Well it turns out Kodi doesn't have a default keyboard key stroke for the Blue Button, so it's just a matter of defining your own. I used CTRL-B since that was already in my head.

in keyboard.xml, <global>, CTRL-B was existing so I changed it:

<b mod="ctrl">Blue</b> <!-- Blue Button -->

I made a little write up if anybody is interested. Where would be the appropriate place to put such things?

I have documentation on how I setup my ODroid and RPi4 for Kodi/NextPVR/knewc also which I'm happy to share if it can be of use to anyone else. Would go in the same/similar location?

Okay, Blue Button works to pull up the OSD during recording playback, but it only stays on the screen for like a 1/2 a second. Same issue on my Kodi/knewc Rpi4 and Kodi/knewc Mint Server.

I see settings in config.xml which seem to indicate it should be 4000 (milliseconds I presume).

Any thoughts?

Colour buttons are Alt keys. Ctrl-B is Info. Alt-B seem to work fine but there seems to be a NextPVR bug with Ctrl-B even on the PC client. On nlite I didn't seem to get either working.
