I have only been using NextPVR 5 for a couple of weeks now, and I have a newbie question.  I have noticed that when there are 2 back-to-back recordings on the same channel, the channel change script does not get called at the start of the 2nd recording.  Is there a way that I can force the channel change script to run even when there is no channel change?  I am trying to handle the case where someone might inadvertently change the STB channel externally with the remote.  I considered using the PreRecording.bat script to blast the upcoming channel number, but since that script gets called 2 minutes prior to the start of the 2nd show, it would interrupt the end of the 1st recording in the case of a real channel change.

I guess you could do it in ParallelProcessing.bat but I can tell you from experience on Windows and linux that if you are using an HDPVR with AC3 output you can corrupt the device if you tune it while it is recording.

Thank you, Martin.  I will see if that will work for me.  I happen to be using a Colossus 2 with AC3 output in Windows 10, so I will have to run some tests to see if I end up with corrupt recordings.

Yeah, for exactly the reason Martin suggests above, the application wont try retuning on a channel that is already being recorded since it'll interfere with the stream. Often for back to back recordings on the same channel, the recordings overlap for a few minutes, as the post-padding on the first recording, and pre-padding on the seconds recording both occur at the same time. Restarting the stream would break these.
