Channel icons from Schedules Direct not showing in V5

Hello again,

As I've tried to get V5 running, I've had a couple issues.  This one is regarding channel icons.  I've entered my Schedules Direct login credentials and clicked to button to download channel icons.  I get a message that NextPVR is downloading them and they'll be visible in the TV Guide in a few minutes, but I may have to refresh the page.  I've done that and no channel icons appear.

Do you see the files in c:\users\public\NPVR-data\media\channels?

I just checked.  The channels directory is empty.

Did you auto map the channels to SD before downloading the icons.

Not sure what this means, Martin.  Apologies.

After I installed V5, I scanned for channels.  When the scan was complete, NextPVR asked if I wanted to "Update EPG" and I said Yes.  Then I went through and "scanned" for channels on the other 5 tuners by accepting NextPVRs suggestion to copy the existing information.

After that was complete, I went to Settings>Guide, and entered my SD login credentials.  NextPVR came back with the channel lineup from SD and I clicked the "Download" button.  Sounds like I missed a step somewhere...?

It might have done an OTA EPG update.. From the logs your channels aren't mapped to SD Go to set up channels and run automap pick your tuner type and the SD lineup you want to use

I did as you suggested and I now have icons for all but 30 out of the 80 channels I receive.  I don't ever watch many of the 30 channels.  I will add files with icons with correct names as needed to the channels folder.

I did a bit more work on the channel icons and discovered a couple things that might help others.

First, some of the channels that were missing icons actually had icons in the "Channels" folder. On closer inspection, I noted that there were errant spaces in the file names in the Channel folder. I don't know if these came from Schedules Direct with the extra spaces, but regardless, when I deleted these, the icons showed up on the TV Guide in the desktop app in Windows 10. Try as I might, though, I could not make those icons show up in the TV Guide on the web app. I entered cntl-F5 several times with no joy.
