Xmedia ?

I've been a pretty big fan of the XMedia skins that have been created for GBPvr! Very enjoyable!!

I have three questions...

1. They are a little fuzzy on my MVP (Hauppauge "everything" --150 card and MVP) It's not that bad, but I guess my eyesight is getting a little more fuzzy as I get older. The shows come in great, it's just that the menus in the skinds are a little fuzzy.

2. This newest version of xmedia (http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Skin/XMedia) displays (in the static picture in Wiki) some additional graphics which don't show up in my version after I installed it. '1' is the "19" graphic (I'm not sure what that represents) and the other is the long graphic at the top. Instead I just have a blank space. I'm also not sure what that graphic is suppose to represent.

3. My last question is 'why' are there always 2 or 3 files to install? I'm sure there is a valid reason -- it's just not apparent to those of us who download and install it. It just seems kind of strange to download a series of files -- each with their own installation without any real reason why.... Not really a complaint, just curiosity..... One would think that a single installation file would be sufficient? (again -- not a complaint -- just curious).

Hmmm.. Well -- based on what you wrote, I installed the "musicplayer" plugin, and I still don't get anything at the top. Strange... Thanks though

Howdy Tipstir

Here is the screen shot of what I see. Note: I installed both the music player and panel. This isn't a big deal, I don't really use my MVP for playing my music anyway. I rather prefer the XmediaLE



I took the screen shot from the computer. It only looks fuzzy on the TV. I suspect it may be the configuration settings that I hve setup for the screen size. Do you have an MVP? If so -- what config.xml settings are you using for your screen size?

I see what you mean about the number of files... That makes perfect sense. Would you prefer to host the file "off" site instead? Simply creating a link to it on the wiki and keeping the file off site, you would have the limitation of file size. I'd be happy to donate/host the space if you need it.

Tried hosting the file and then only a limited number could download unless I become FTP Server, which I might do? I am ready to do just that! But for now it's a split down the middle.

Well -- the offer stands I own and operate Fidotel.com and have plenty of available bandwidth. I'd be happy to host any file or website via web &/or FTP -- no limitations. I'd create a directory structure for you that you could access yourself to upload/edit. What you are doing for the community is honorable and I'd be happy to contribute. Works great for my 3 - MVPs 13, 27, and 36 inch TV's... 4th MVP is save for the Plasma TV.

Perfect.. I'd been looking for the right combination of numbers to make the size a little better, and your settings fit my setup like a glove. Thank you!
