Radio vs TV in Kodi add-on

If you use TVheadend as your backend it categorises channels as TV vs Radio. So when you use the PVR add-on in Kodi you go to TV to watch TV and Radio to listen to radio. This is a good thing. But I've noticed on NextPVR that there is no categorisation which means nothing appears under Radio in the Kodi PVR add-on, and under TV you get TV and radio.

is there a way of getting NextPVR to behave like TVheadend so radio can be categorised as radio rather than TV?

What tuner source are you talking about? They should be automatically categorized when it is true radio. Do you mean you want to have music video stations in Radio?

Hi Martin, I'm not talking about music videos. In Australia, at least, some radio stations from the public broadcasters (ABC and SBS) are transmitted across DVB-T signals. On TVheadend these are tagged as "Radio channels" rather than TV which means they end up in the Radio section of Kodi rather than the TV section.

Maybe sub needs to look into the scan. I believe DVB-T from the UK is flagged a radio. Are you using linux or Windows?

Could you zip up one of your /var/opt/nextpvr/adapter.conf files and send it and let use know which frequency is radio.

There shouldn't be a VIDEO_PID on radio channels.
