Since updating to 5.1.0.201216, the guide stopped loading updates from the xmltv.xml file.  The guide indicates that new days are present but all the program details for the new days present in the xmltv.xml file are missing in the guide.

This is typically means the batch file that downloads the file is broken or the source is not updating.

The Zap2it service appears to have changed at the same time I upgraded NextPVR. I hate coincidences.

For those who may be using Zap2xml to pull OTA channels, as of December 17th, Zap2it appears to be applying a default zip code instead of the zip code associated with the user's profile. Explicitly providing the zip code with the -Z option to Zap2xml appears to workaround the issue. Note: You will need delete the cache folder to recover from the corruption.

If you use Zap2Xml to get your listings, I can confirm that it has became broken about a week ago.  If you use the zap2xml parameters to login (-u -p), then it no longer works.  Instead of logging in, it still works if you instead use the -Y parameter to specify a lineup and -Z to specify a zipcode (or postal code in Canada).  Things are back to working perfectly for me again.  It does take a little longer now because it downloads all the channels in the lineup, not just the channels I marked as favorites on the zap2it site.  My command line now looks like:

            zap2xml.exe -Y lineupId -Z M4M4M4 -c cache -i icons -I -T -D -o tvguidedata.xml -d 13 -n 2 -N 2

If you've doing over the air, then "lineupId" is the actual text of the parameter, not a placeholder that I made up.  If you don't have over the air, then you'll need to inspect the http requests in your browser's debugger (F12) on the zap2it site to figure out your numerical lineup id.  It's not hard but does require a bit of knowledge.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Hae. I added the -Z [postalcode] option to the command line and it downloaded the EPG perfectly.
zap2xml -u [username] -p [password] -Z [postalcode] -S 1 -E "amp apos quot lt gt" -F

It appears to have logged in correctly and downloaded the 13 starred channels from my profile.
Downloaded 687781 bytes in 58 http requests using 1 socket.
Writing XML file: xmltv.xml
Completed in 66s (Parse: 66s) 13 stations, 2077 programs, 2874 scheduled.

The original website for Zap2xml is archived at The Way Back Machine:

The Zap2it service appears to have corrected their issue. It is no longer necessary to provide the zip code with the -Z option to Zap2xml when utilizing a user profile.

I had the same issue.. just to add to this thread knowledge, FYI I had to delete the cache files in the zap2xml folder before it would start showing guide again for certain missing days.
